Bromley Mountain’s 22nd annual “Mom’s Day Off” event raised more than $11,000 on February 28, benefiting breast care services at the Dartmouth Cancer Center at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC). Bromley President and General Manager, Josh Witkin recently presented a check to SVMC’s President and CEO Thomas A. Dee, at the Peru, Vermont, ski resort.
“We love hosting this event and bringing this community together to enjoy the mountain and support a great local cause,” said Witkin. “So many of us have loved ones who have been impacted by breast cancer and it’s comforting to know there is exceptional care and services available nearby.”
Bromley Mountain donated nearly $8,500, raised through the sale of discounted lift tickets, which was a new record for the event. Bromley’s Wild Boar Tavern, operated by Sodexo, generously donated over $2,500, about 50% of its food proceeds from the day. Overall, the event netted $11,090.
“We appreciate Bromley Mountain’s ongoing commitment to Mom’s Day Off,” said Dee. “This program allows us to support patients and community members, well beyond the cutting-edge treatments available at our cancer center.”
