Ethics and Compliance Helpline
The SVMC Ethics and Compliance Helpline is provided for all members of the SVMC community—whether employees or not—to ask any compliance-related questions or report any concerns they have. We guarantee that you will not be asked to disclose your identity and that all communications with you will remain confidential. We also promise that every report will be followed up professionally, confidentially and that appropriate action will be taken. You will be given the opportunity to obtain follow-up information in a confidential way as well.
We promise to protect your anonymity should you choose to keep your identity confidential.
Our commitment

Therefore, SVMC's Board of Trustees has adopted a Code of Ethical Conduct to provide standards for employees that promote integrity, protect the health system, and enhance SVMC's ability to achieve its mission.

Your role
It is the mission of the compliance and ethics program at SVMC to foster an organizational culture promoting the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. We are committed to following all laws and regulations and to use our best efforts to detect errors and prevent improper conduct.
To support this mission, the Compliance Department encourages anyone with reason to believe that a violation of law, regulation, the SVMC Code of Ethical Conduct or other SVMC policy to report their concerns or ask questions.
Corporate compliance and legal services department
Southwestern Vermont Health Care understands the importance of complying with laws, regulations, and ensuring timely investigation of ethical and legal concerns. The Corporate Compliance Department is led by the Corporate Compliance Officer in partnership with numerous staff members.
