Learning Tree childcare
Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and a 5-star center as judged by Vermont’s Step Ahead Recognition System (STARS), the Learning Tree Early Education Program provides a caring and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years to grow and develop.
Based on the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) campus, Learning Tree’s 15 staff members are all trained in early care and education as stipulated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Both professional and passionate about their work, they effectively balance individual attention with group experiences to the benefit of all.
The Learning Tree is an accredited 5-star program through Vermont’s STARS program (STep Ahead Recognition System) and rated outstanding in the areas of regulatory history, staff qualifications, families and communities, program practices, and administration.
In April 2020, the center received a $60,000 grant from Let's Grow Kids. The grant paid for two new fully equipped classrooms, which expanded capacity by 17 children.
Open Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45 am and 5:30 pm, the Learning Tree provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack to all children over the age of one (USDA Nondiscrimination policy). We accept financial aid from both the state of New York and Vermont.
